# Use Perena

**Use Perena at:** [**app.perena.org**](https://app.perena.org) **to save and use your stablecoins.**

To get started, make sure you have:

* A **Solana-compatible wallet** (we recommend [Phantom](https://phantom.app/), [Solflare](https://www.solflare.com/), or [Backpack](https://backpack.app/))
* Some stablecoins, preferably USDC, to deposit and save with Perena
* Some **$SOL** in your wallet to cover transaction fees

#### What You Can Do in the Perena Dapp

The **Portfolio** page at [**app.perena.org/portfolio**](https://app.perena.org/portfolio) is where you interact with USD STAR (USD\*) — Perena’s yield-bearing digital dollar.

### What you can do:

#### 1. View your Positions

* See your holdings across the entire Perena platform.
* View detailed breakdowns of: Individual deposits, Estimated APY, Total yield earned
* View Total Protocol TVL

#### 2. **Deposit and Get USD\***

* Click the **“Get USD\*”** button to deposit your preferred amount.
* Currently, USDC is supported (more stablecoin options coming soon).
* Deposits are free — no minting fee is charged.
* Your USD\* starts earning real yield immediately — with no staking or lock-up required.

> 💡 **Tip**: Ensure your wallet has some $SOL to cover gas. Each transaction costs less than **0.00001 SOL**.

#### 3. Redeem Anytime

* To convert USD\* back into USDC, simply click the **“Redeem”** button.
* A 0.05% redemption fee applies.

The **Convert** page allows you to easily swap between supported stablecoins and USD STAR (USD\*), Perena’s yield-bearing digital dollar.

#### 1. Select the token you would like to convert

#### 2. Type the amount you would like to convert and click **Swap**

#### 3. To view more information:

* Expand the dropdown panel at the bottom of the Swap interface
* You’ll see the conversion rate, expected output, and estimated fee

> 💡 Make sure you have a small amount of **$SOL** in your wallet to cover gas fees. Each transaction typically costs less than **0.00001 SOL**.

**Vaults on the** [**Earn**](https://app.perena.org/earn) **page** are strategy-specific products from Perena and ecosystem partners. Each vault deploys capital into curated positions, from delta-neutral strategies to partner integrations.
